Buck Feris is the Clinical Coordinator of the EMS Academy of Louisville which is a provider of EMT and paramedic courses as well as an array of American Heart Association offerings. He has almost 15 years in the business and has coordinated several programs in the municipal and private sectors. Buck is also a full time paramedic in a rural service where he currently serves as the QA and Training Coordinator. Greg Friese is the founder and president of Emergency Preparedness Systems LLC. He is a paramedic, author, speaker, and instructor. He specializes in the design and production of online education programs for emergency responders having created more than 200 hours of training. Greg has worked for Wisconsin’s largest ambulance service and for one of its smallest services. Before EMSEduCast Greg started the North Central Regional Advisory Trauma Council podcast. Chris Montera NREMT-P: Chris is the Chief for Western Eagle County Ambulance District. He has previously served as the EMS Data Specialist for Foothills Regional Emergency Trauma Advisory Council (RETAC), Western RETAC, Central Mountains RETAC and the State EMS data contract for the Colorado Department of Health and Environment. He has been in EMS for 19 years. While in EMS, he has worked in the field as an EMT, Intermediate, Paramedic and the management level. In his tenure he has worked in suburban, rural and frontier areas of Colorado and has been involved in health care since he was 16 and working as a nursing assistant at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. He has also contracted for Aspen Ambulance, St. Vincent’s Hospital and Southern RETAC to write ambulance service assessments. He has served on RETAC boards, served as Secretary for the National EMS Data Managers Council and currently he is President of EMS Association of Colorado. You’ll find Chris at EMSGarage.com.
Rob Theriault is a Coordinator and Professor of the Primary and Advanced Care Paramedic Programs at Georgian College in Ontario, Canada. Rob has been in EMS since 1984 and has worked in both land and air ambulance systems. Between 1987-1997 Rob worked aboard the Air Ambulance helicopter, “Bandage One”, based in Toronto where he was a Critical Care Flight Paramedic. Rob has taught all three paramedic levels and has spoken at conferences across Canada and internationally. Rob is also the recipient of the Governor General of Canada Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal, is a three-time recipient of the Ontario Paramedic Exemplary Service award and recently received the Ontario “Innovative Teaching and Technology” award. He has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Resuscitation and in 2007 he published his first book with Elsevier-Mosby titled The Canadian Paramedic: An Introduction (Canadian supplement to Mosby’s Paramedic Textbook).
