Chris Cebollero, host of the EMS Leadership Podcast got the chance to chat with Amy Smith from ZOLL about the RescueNet software and the 12-Lead transmission tools that are now available for free to emergency medical services systems from the Ambulance to the Hospital. Built using open architecture, the RescueNet software includes free to use and access APIs that allow any monitor or defibrillator vendor to write code to access and transmit to the RescueNet system.

When you consider that and iPad costs 1/5 the price of a Toughbook and offers and easier to use interface and connectivity resource, it is a no-brainer to move in this direction.
